Some of it was good stuff: furniture we just didn't feel like bothering with, silverware we really didn't want, and really cute misc odds and ends we couldn't imagine having the need for after college. But some of it was just plain gross! In college, I may have let the laundry go a little too long and the towels and robe that I used all four years of college were really gross by the end. So I put them out and sure enough, someone snatched them up!! Ick! We'd put stuff out and just cozy up on the porch and watch people go to town. Good for them!
Now, four years later, feeling all domestic in my first "real house", it is happening again! I probably shouldn't be surprised - we chose a gorgeous old flipped home...but it was in Norwood. Norwood gets a bad rap overall, it's really not that bad: fantastic location, super nice people all up in your business, it's safe in my area, and now, I find, it's entertaining as well. It's Monday night, garbage night! Ever since it's gotten warm I've noticed trucks making the rounds on garbage night stoking out the goods and filling up! I really do find it interesting, part of me just wants to put something really good out and just watch and see the joy on someones face when they snatch it up! And a lot of the trucks go around like three or four times during the night just to make sure they don't miss out. So interesting! Way to go you resourceful people! I kinda want to hitch a ride with the next truck that goes around just to see what they can find! Ha!
The next Norwood phenomena to research: tow trucks as personal vehicles. Neat!
