My two little fur balls are just the cutest things ever - when they're behaving! At the recommendation of our trusted vet (sister-in-law) we keep Andy crated during the day so he doesn't play too rough with Duke and Stan. He really doesn't mind it because he sleeps all day curled up in a tiny little ball. Usually I come home and rush to turn the alarm off while Andy's yipping in his crate so excited that I'm home and that he gets to scarf down food within minutes.
I walked in the door yesterday and Andy was jumping around freaking out - just hanging out the kitchen like "What, lady, feed me already!" I was so dumbfounded. He was out of his crate. My initial thought was that Brian was home and somehow I didn't see his car in the garage. Nope. Then I dreaded walking through the rest of the house - were the other pets alive? Was the couch torn apart? Did he pee/poop/puke all over? Did he totally destroy his crate (I had just read about this in Marley and Me)? I walked around and everything was in perfect shape - I do keep my house in immaculate shape if I say so myself! I felt the couches where he would have been sleeping all day and they were cold leading me to think that he hadn't been sleeping there for 8 hours. I checked out his crate - nothing out of the ordinary there. Duke was hanging around looking a bit fishy - has he figured out how to let his buddy Andy out? Did Andy figure out how to get out...no way, right? Was I just totally off my rocker this morning and didn't put him in there?
I have no idea what happened yesterday but I was very aware to make sure that he was securely in his crate when I left this morning. I'm anxious to return home and see the latest turn of events in this story. Stay tuned!
