Free Your Mind

So lots of smart people recommend not doing any sort of physical or strenuous activity within a few hours of bedtime so that you can fall asleep quickly. The smart people also say that if you continue to use or challenge your brain you're less likely to develop Alzheimer's and dementia. That would lead me to believe that using your brain keeps you alert, right?

I view sudoku as combining the two points above - it's like a physical workout for the brain. And lately I've found myself doing a sudoku puzzle every night! The logic from the smart people suggests that I'd be kept awake by doing this - not so, not so! It puts me right to sleep. Sometimes I don't even get through a whole easy puzzle! See, I'm such a sudoku genius that an easy puzzle takes me under five minutes to complete so if I'm falling asleep before completion - that's fast!!

So what does this say about MY brain? Is it backwards? A lost cause? Not stimulated enough? Only time will tell, I suppose. If I'm still blogging when I'm 80 years old, we'll see how loony I've become!
